Recent Hilton Sonoma Wine Review: "not really lots of choices in Santa Rosa for a really nice place to stay. this Hilton is a three-star and a good value for what we paid. we were in town for Thanksgiving. it's located in a business park and has a business hotel/motel feel. guest rooms are located in a series of 2-3 story buildings and you park by whatever building you are staying in.  you load and unload luggage yourself. your view can be either of the parking lot (and your car) or a vista encompassing the sunset and a freeway. the front desk was very accommodating to switching rooms for us. I suppose the parking lot is quieter, but the sunset was spot on as views go. the bedding was the luxury feature of the room. down duvet with five pillows on the bed. housekeeping was uneven. we stayed three nights. first day, we stayed in the room till early afternoon and pulled the bedding up on the bed. housekeeping did not make the bed, but did leave fresh towels. bed was made our remaining days. we also found a turndown chocolate on the last day. the hotel is located within an easy mile drive to both Peet's coffee and a Starbucks. Willi's Wine Bar is also close-by. if you're using this hotel as a jump off to Sonoma wine country, you will drive about fifteen miles. the upside is the very large rooms. on a summer day, the pool would look inviting. for visiting with family in Santa Rosa, this hotel is fine."
