Recent Fountaingrove Inn Hotel Review: "I would certainly recommend this hotel, as we've stayed for 3 straight years now for purposes of attending the annual Winter Winelands event. The hotel is conveniently located - just off Hiway 101 - to most wineries in the area; although freeway entry to routes north and south can be a tad tricky until you understand the "lay of the land". However,  it's convenient to other eateries in addition, as the hotel's Equus Restaurant is a bit on the pricier side; although they give you a 15% off coupon at check-in. Otherwise, I would've given perfect "5's" across the board, were it not for a couple of minor items. First off, the living room t.v.'s picture was grainy on all channels; whereupon we had someone come in to take a look. His response, though, was to try and fix the issue the "old fashioned way" (using his words), which was to take the connected cable box and bang it against the table a couple of times. When this didn't work, the hotel offered to move us to a new room. We declined, though, as we were pretty much settled in at that point. After jiggling the wires around a bit, on our own, we were able to attain an acceptably clear (albeit not perfect) picture on the tube and left it at that. The only other minor issue was with the bathroom shower/ tub lighting. Specifically, when you closed the shower curtain the lighting was totally inadequate. In fact, it was so dark it felt as if you were in a cave or something. This could be a problem with seniors or others who don't have the greatest eyesightr Otherwise, everything else was good. As usual, we booked the Jr. Suite, vs their regular deluxe room, and enjoyed the added comfort of having an extra 100 square ft of space and a small sofa to stretch out. The hotel staff was efficient and helpful with other directions, upon check-out as well."
